This Friday the Obama campaign needs to make an announcement that it is scheduling a press availability Monday morning to announce a major "campaign policy change".
Is this off limits too? Christan Broadcasting Network is reporting Gov. Palin's husband Todd had a DUI in 1986.
Why do campaigns (all of them) say families are off limits? They are eager to drag the family out on the campaign trail, put them on the national stage, even let them be interviewed at times, yet when something negative comes out, they say they are off limits.
I'm not just talking about Palin's daughter here, I'm talking about all of them.
Doesn't simply dragging them into the national spotlight make them "fair game"?
Should the Palin family stayed home when McCain announced her?
Why do wives of candidates makes speeches at the conventions if they are really off limits?
Should it have only been Obama and Biden on stage after his acceptance speech Thursday night? Why did he drag his wife and kids on stage if families are off limits?

PAPER: OBAMA READY TO ANNOUNCE HIS VP
Mon Aug 18 2008 17:01:04 ET
"The NYT newsroom was buzzing late Monday afternoon after Obama-beat reporter Jeff Zeleny learned how the Dem hopeful has now finalized his choice for a running-mate.
Obama has set an elaborate roll-out to announce his decision that will begin with an early morning e-mail to supporters, perhaps as early as Tuesday, Zeleny and Adam Nagourney have been told.
A top source close to Caroline Kennedy tells DRUDGE -- the pick is more likely to come early Wednesday morning.
Is it Nunn? Is it Kaine? Is Hillary there? What about Kerry? Bayh? Biden?
